About Blankett
Blankett builds agentic security and managed intelligence for businesses at scale. Our
products include AI agents that automate IT and security work, document and forms
automation, and a suite of post-quantum resilience tools, including our PQ Seal.
We are a small, fast-moving team with strong backing. Over the next two years we are
expanding into managed IT services, putting our products in front of hundreds of client
businesses.
The role
The Software Engineering Lead is one of Blankett's core builders. You will report to our
Chief Software Engineer and work beside them every day, turning plans into working,
tested products.
Nobody here works in a silo. You will collaborate closely with our Head of AI and Security
on agentic systems, security and compliance, and with our data scientist on data
pipelines. Expect to spend most of your time writing code.
What you'll do
Build and ship features across our products: agentic automation, forms and data
extraction, and post-quantum tools
Work with the Chief Software Engineer on system design, then own key parts of it
end to end
Write clean, well-tested code and review teammates' code
Partner with the Head of AI and Security to build AI agents and security controls into
the product
Help connect and consolidate the tools and systems of businesses that join the
Blankett platform
Keep our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and release process running smoothly
Fix production issues quickly and help keep systems reliable for customers
Document your work so the growing team can build on it
Required qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering, including time as a senior engineer or
tech lead
A track record of shipping production software that customers rely on
Strong skills in at least one modern backend language (such as Python, TypeScript, Go
or Rust)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), containers and CI/CD
Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI agents
Provable knowledge in secure coding, authentication and data protection
Experience at a well-known tech company, a high-growth startup, or both
Clear communication with engineers and non-technical teammates alike
Nice to have
Experience with post-quantum cryptography, especially the NIST standards (ML-
KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA)
Hands-on work with cryptographic libraries such as liboqs, OpenSSL, BoringSSL or
libsodium
Experience with PKI, digital certificates, digital signatures and key management
(including HSMs or cloud KMS)
Experience moving systems to new cryptography ("crypto-agility" or post-quantum
migration projects)
Knowledge of TLS, zero-trust architecture and digital identity standards
A degree in computer science, mathematics or physics, or published work in
cryptography or security
Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or NIST CSF
Experience with managed IT or MSP tools such as remote monitoring and
management, PSA or endpoint security platforms

Compensation and details
Salary: $120,000 to $180,000 a year, based on experience
Type: Full-time
Location: South Florida (Palm Beach / Boca Raton area) preferred; open to hybrid
