Providing technical leadership and mentoring, the full-time Lead Software Engineer for Autonomy will design, develop, implement, integrate, test, and demonstrate advanced algorithms and software systems for autonomous platforms, working in a hybrid environment from Arlington, VA or Woburn, MA. Key responsibilities: Design and implement advanced algorithms for mission planning systems and automated control processes Lead engineering teams through the complete Agile development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality software products Collaborate with research scientists to transition complex mathematical concepts into software applications Required qualifications: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship BS in Computer Science or related technical field with 7+ years of experience 5+ years of experience in C++ or Java with a focus on backend algorithmic development Proven ability to lead modest-sized engineering teams (5+ engineers) in an Agile environment Experience with Object-Oriented Programming principles and test-driven development methodologies
