You will play a key role in designing and delivering a shared identity platform that supports customer onboarding, identity verification, and trust services across multiple products and lines of business.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver secure, scalable software solutions that support customer identity, onboarding, and trust services across platformsDevelop and maintain a canonical customer identity model to enable consistent identity representation across systemsBuild and manage services that support the end-to-end identity lifecycle, including enrollment, verification, remediation, and offboardingIntegrate identity proofing and verification vendors through abstracted APIs to enable flexible and scalable onboarding capabilitiesDevelop and refine trust and risk signal services that support fraud detection and identity assurance decisionsDesign and implement event-driven architectures and APIs that enable seamless interoperability across distributed systemsPartner with product, risk, and technology teams to translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable technical solutionsEnsure continuity of identity experience across digital and assisted channels (e.g., web, mobile, branch, call center)Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability, and reliability through automation and engineering best practicesDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.Required Qualifications, Capabilities and SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceHands-on experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems and APIs in a cloud-based environmentExperience developing identity, authentication, or customer onboarding systemsStrong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka)Experience working with identity and access management (IAM) platforms or solutionsExperience integrating third-party services or vendors through API-based architecturesHands-on experience translating business or regulatory requirements into technical solutionsExperience working in agile environments with modern software development lifecycle practicesProficiency in designing high-availability, resilient systems with a focus on reliability and performanceDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practicesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and SkillsExperience with identity assurance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-63)Experience with identity proofing or KYC platforms (e.g., Socure, Jumio)Experience designing trust scoring or risk signal platformsKnowledge of omnichannel customer identity systems across digital and assisted channelsExperience in highly regulated environments such as financial servicesExperience influencing platform strategy and shared service adoption across large organizationsExperience improving developer experience through reusable platform components and service contracts
