About the Team
STR’s Analytics and C2 Division researches and develops novel technologies to solve challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our team consists of passionate and motivated engineers and scientists with advanced degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We use our expertise and creativity to take innovative ideas from conception to mature implementation to improve mission success of our customers.
The Role
As a Lead Software Engineer at STR, you will develop disruptive technologies focused on estimation theory, prediction, and system resource management. You will design and implement flexible software solutions and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary project teams to provide high‑impact solutions for our customers. This position is based primarily in the Woburn, MA office.
Who You Are
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility; U.S. citizenship required by the U.S. government
- MS with at least 8 years of experience, and/or PhD with at least 5 years of experience (or equivalent) in a scientific field such as applied math, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or data science
- Proficient in writing maintainable, well‑documented code and APIs
- Able to work and collaborate on multi‑disciplinary teams
- Experience using Linux
- Expertise using C++, Python, and Java
- Experience with container‑based software (Docker, Kubernetes)
Even Better
- Experience in intelligence or military‑related mission areas
- Experience with micro‑service architecture and DevOps pipelines
Pay Information
Full‑time salary range: $174,000 – $220,000.
