Lead Software Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Atlanta, Georgia).
Leads software development scrum team through the design and implementation of simple and scalable solutions to complex problems with .NET components and APIs in an AWS first environment; delivering leading-edge software products for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the engineering efforts of one of our scrum teams by applying knowledge of modern software design, best practices, design patterns, and frameworks, and an understanding of application performance and maintainability.
- Collaborates with the team to achieve the goal to build, deploy, monitor, and manage a highly performing and highly available production system.
- Influences technical solutions while coaching newer or less experienced members on the Scrum team.
- Articulates key issues, drafts action plans, and communicates with management.
- Constructs and coordinates services published to both internal and external consumers.
- Implements platform-level components including event architectures, messaging, and caching solutions.
- Writes readable, maintainable, and efficient code while also ensuring team members do the same.
- Designs and implements REST APIs, services, system tasks, and cloud solutions.
- Enhances the performance and reliability of our current solutions.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, or related field and 6 years of experience developing software in C#.
- Must have 6 years of experience in each of the following:
- Programming web applications
- Performing object-oriented development
- Using design patterns including REST
- Using Angular or React web technologies
- Working with relational DBMS data structures including writing SQL statements
- Identifying system bottlenecks and architectural risks
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated.
- Also requires 1 year of experience working with AWS.
- Position reports to Atlanta, GA, but may telecommute from any location in the U.S.; experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary of $186,137 - $204,385. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
