Job Summary

The Lead Server / Wait staff will be responsible for providing prompt, professional, and friendly guest service to restaurant & bar guests at all times.

Job Specifications

  • Starting Wage: $16.79/hr – $21.79/hr
    • If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $20/hour, inclusive of tips
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong food knowledge and a detailed understanding and memorization of current menu items, including all alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks, food, and specials.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties required to operate the restaurant, ensuring stocking is completed, tables are properly set, and the dining room is clean.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to upsell products.
  • Proactively sell beer, wine, liquor, and food to guests sitting in the dining area.
  • Communicate all necessary and important information with the Restaurant Manager and the entire Food and Beverage team.
  • Capable of multi‑tasking and working at a fast but thorough pace.
  • Complete all side work that has been assigned.
  • Attend the daily pre‑shift meeting to learn any important daily information and any other scheduled staff meetings.
  • Have comprehensive wine and liquor knowledge and adhere to all state liquor laws.
  • Ensure that all state health regulations are being adhered to.
  • Handle cash & credit card transactions with honesty and fairness at the end of shift; tip out to bartenders and food runners.
  • Be enthusiastic and interactive to help portray a friendly, fun, and exciting bar environment.
  • Check/Sign off on server side work.
  • Check server paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Print shift reports and resets.
  • Train new staff on IG and restaurant policies and flow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish – preferred.
  • Prior serving experience.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • TIPS certification required – TIPS training will be provided within 30 days of hire if necessary.

The expected pay range is $16.79/hr – $21.79/hr. This is the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
