The Opportunity
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in project delivery, client management, mentorship, and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Structural design and analysis for a variety of building types
- Project management and client communication
- Leading project teams and coordinating with architects and contractors
- Mentoring junior engineers and EITs
- Developing innovative and cost-effective structural solutions
- Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, or multifamily projects
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Desire to work closely with clients and leadership
- Interest in mentoring and developing younger engineers

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Manager and Engineer of Record on structural engineering projects
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems
- Review and approve calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and other design disciplines
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Conduct site visits, field observations, and constructability reviews
- Support business development efforts including proposals and client presentations
- Uphold quality control standards and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience, including project management responsibility
- Experience leading projects and interfacing directly with clients
- Strong background in steel and concrete design (exposure to industrial or complex projects a plus)
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, STAAD, Enercalc)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining technical quality and deadlines
