The Opportunity

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in project delivery, client management, mentorship, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Structural design and analysis for a variety of building types
  • Project management and client communication
  • Leading project teams and coordinating with architects and contractors
  • Mentoring junior engineers and EITs
  • Developing innovative and cost-effective structural solutions
  • Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships

What We're Looking For

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Experience with commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, or multifamily projects
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Desire to work closely with clients and leadership
  • Interest in mentoring and developing younger engineers

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager and Engineer of Record on structural engineering projects
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems
  • Review and approve calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and other design disciplines
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
  • Conduct site visits, field observations, and constructability reviews
  • Support business development efforts including proposals and client presentations
  • Uphold quality control standards and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience, including project management responsibility
  • Experience leading projects and interfacing directly with clients
  • Strong background in steel and concrete design (exposure to industrial or complex projects a plus)
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, STAAD, Enercalc)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining technical quality and deadlines
