Overview Of The Lead, Sales (Key Holder) Role

You will inspire customers to express themselves in their home. You will bring the brand to life by making it easy for them to discover products that best suit how they entertain. You will drive sales by sparking connections and creating lasting customers of the brand.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging experiences for customers by sharing expertise on enhancing their home.
• Provide daily support to the management team by performing opening and closing routines, register functions, and back‑office procedures.
• Supervise to ensure the store meets financial goals and associates provide world‑class service to guests.
• Ensure the store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back‑of‑house standards during shifts.
• Effectively perform the Selling Captain role, serving as a role model for sales associates in sales generation and customer service by prioritizing the customer experience.
• Maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect in accordance with the People First Philosophy.

Criteria

• Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and example.
• 1–3 years of retail sales experience, with shift supervision experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in home‑related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred (specialty retail preferred, but not required).

Physical Requirements

• Must be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and mobilize medium‑to‑large items, up to 75 lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Full‑time associates must have open availability to meet the business needs.
• Part‑time flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and two weekday shifts (Monday–Thursday). For 20 hours or more per week, greater availability may be required. Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; a shift must be scheduled on two separate days (e.g., Friday and Saturday).

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including pay and benefits. Pay is based on education, experience, certifications, geographical location, etc. The anticipated pay range for this role is $21.00–$23.00 per hour.
