Lead Ruby on Rails Engineer
Pay rate: $85 $95/hr on C2C
Location: 100% Remote (EST/CST/PST)
Duration: 9 12 Months
Engagement: Corp-to-Corp (C2C) or W2
Work authorization: USC, GC, H1B, GC-EAD
Client: Global e-commerce platform company (name confidential until shortlisting - standard US staffing practice)
What you will do:
- Build e-commerce inventory sync and payment integration services handling millions of daily checkouts.
- Audit database queries to resolve N+1 execution bottlenecks and tune memory allocation.
- Design public and internal APIs supporting webhooks and partner app integrations.
What you will bring:
- 8+ years of web application development with extensive production experience in Ruby on Rails (Rails 7+).
- Deep experience with background job processing via Sidekiq and Redis.
- Advanced SQL tuning, ActiveRecord query optimization, and Postgres database schema design.
- Strong familiarity with RSpec test-driven development (TDD).
