Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the RN is accountable for direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology department. This role includes assisting the radiologist in a variety of invasive and non‑invasive procedures such as kyphoplasty, fistulograms, permcaths, biopsies, filter placements, angioplasties, and others.
The RN prepares patients for procedures, provides education and care, starts intravenous lines, administers medications, and ensures patient safety, comfort and satisfaction throughout each visit.
Responsibilities also encompass participating in emergency, off‑shift, and on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays, and supporting operational and clinical activities to meet hospital and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required for new hires).
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan (required).
- ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- BCLS certification required.
- Previous experience in Emergency, Interventional, Cardiac Cath lab, or CCU preferred.
- Must be a self‑starter, motivated, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Must live within a 30‑minute call‑back radius of the hospital.
