Lead Risk Counsel

• Identify, assess, and communicate complex legal risks


• Advise leadership and cross-functional teams on legal and contractual matters and risk mitigation strategies


• Oversee end-to-end resolution of risk-related disputes


• Monitor evaluation and management of significant risks


• Recommend actionable risk mitigation plans


• Lead identification and resolution of standard and complex risk issues


• Implement risk management policies, guidance, procedures, and training programs


• Mentor others on complex risk identification and proactive mitigation strategies


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed risk management practices into business processes


• Review contracts and advise on contractual rights, obligations, and potential risks

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required


• 6–8 years of experience in risk management, legal counsel, or a related field required


• State Bar License required


• 6–8 years of experience in a combination of law firm and in-house counsel preferred
