As a rapidly growing practice with an expanding surgery center footprint, MBV is committed to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and meeting the rising needs of an aging and underserved population.We foster a collaborative, high-performance environment where every team member contributes to improving access to care, enhancing patient safety, and elevating the quality of vascular and interventional services in our region.Position SummaryMonterey Bay Vascular is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse (RN) to support our vascular clinics, outpatient procedural operations, and surgery center administrative functions.

This role encompasses a blend of procedural assistance, clinic-based patient care, and compliance/administrative support, making it ideal for nurses who enjoy a varied, impactful role in a multi-specialty outpatient setting.This position begins as Part-Time with strong potential to grow into Full-Time as MBV expands services, locations, and procedural capacity.Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, collect clinical histories, review medications and allergies.Perform vital signs, vascular screenings, and wound assessments as trained.Support physicians during E&M visits by preparing records, imaging, and care plans.Provide patient education on vascular disease, wound care, postoperative expectations, and chronic disease management.Assist with referrals, follow-up coordination, specialist communication, and care transitions.Manage patient triage via phone, portal messages, and in-clinic concerns.Maintain thorough and accurate EHR documentation.Prepare, set up, and break down rooms for vascular and interventional procedures.Assist with venous ablations, wound debridement, sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided interventions, and minor surgical procedures.Start IVs, administer medications per protocol, and monitor patient stability throughout procedures.Document intra-procedural vitals, medications, and clinical notes.Manage pre-procedure clearances, consent forms, NPO instructions, and imaging readiness.Support postoperative recovery, dressing changes, discharge instructions, and complication screening.Assist with maintaining QUAD A accreditation and ASC readiness standards.Support administrative tasks including: Maintaining crash cart logs, safety checks, and equipment readinessUpdating infection control logs and documentationManaging medication logs, temperature logs, and supply inventoriesSupporting pre-op workflows, surgical scheduling coordination, and chart preparationParticipate in emergency preparedness drills, audits, and quality improvement activities.Assist leadership with maintaining compliance binders, SDS binders, radiation safety documentation, and annual training materials.Ensure adherence to: QUAD A StandardsOSHA/Cal-OSHATitle 17 Radiation SafetyInfection control and sterile protocolsHIPAA, patient privacy, and safety standardsParticipate in ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.QualificationsActive California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred.Preferred experience: Outpatient procedural nursingVascular surgery, wound care, or interventional radiologyAmbulatory surgery center (ASC) nursingCath lab, GI lab, dermatology procedural clinic, or pain managementStrong IV placement, monitoring, and procedural support skills.Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.Ability to multitask across clinical and administrative workflows.Experience with EHR systems preferred.Ability to work at Aptos, Salinas, and occasional Monterey sites.Schedule & CompensationPart-Time: ~16–24 hours/weekOpportunity for Full-Time based on performance and growthCompetitive hourly compensation based on experienceTraining provided in vascular, procedural, and ASC-related competenciesWhy Join MBV?Work directly with board-certified vascular surgeons and interventional specialists.Be part of a high-growth, multi-location practice with expanding service lines.Gain exposure across clinic, procedural, and surgery center environments.Support meaningful patient care for a large, diverse population.Join a team committed to excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
