Job TitleResponsible for leading a group of associates involved in the production of products. Expedites operations that delay schedules and/or alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations.
Ensures quality control standards are maintained. In addition to performing assembly line functions, also calibrates equipment and maintains tools.Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key AccountabilitiesDetermines schedules, distributes work, routes trucks, and communicates procedures.Interprets machine logs, collects data, sets up new machines for test, trouble shoots machine failures, and interprets error codes.Informs supervisor of staff, safety, defective product or mechanical issues.Ensures all safety standards are met by work group.Environmental Job RequirementsTypically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.Minimum QualificationsMust be a minimum of 18 years of age or olderMust pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicablePreferred QualificationsExtensive knowledge of all types of machinery.Two year technical degree in the area of electronics or electrical design.Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
