Lead Product Quality - Data AnalystThe Lead Product Quality Data Analyst plays a critical role in shaping data-driven decision making across Harley-Davidson's global Quality organization. This role leads the strategy, development, and delivery of advanced analytics that drive improvements in product quality, warranty performance, and customer satisfaction. This individual acts as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, translating complex data into actionable insights, influencing cross-functional decisions, and enabling proactive identification and resolution of quality issues across product development, manufacturing, and field performance.The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, demonstrates strong business acumen, and is passionate about uncovering the "why" behind data to drive meaningful outcomes.Job ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDefine and lead analytics strategy for warranty and quality dataEstablish best-in-class approaches for data visualization and user interactionAct as global SME for product quality analyticsAnalytics & InsightsApply advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to anticipate quality risksDevelop scalable data solutions and automate data pipelines for improved efficiencyEnsure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across quality systemsLeverage modern analytics tools and AI capabilities to enhance insight generationData Product & ReportingDesign and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and self-service analytics toolsStandardize quality metrics across global operationsImprove accessibility and usability of data across stakeholdersOperational SupportSupport investigations into emerging quality concernsLead warranty review cadence and decision-making forumsEnable data-driven problem-solving (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis)Cross-Functional LeadershipPartner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Warranty, and Supplier QualityInfluence decision-making at multiple organizational levelsCoach and mentor analysts and business stakeholdersEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Required Education SpecificationsA bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline preferred.

Advanced training in statistics, predictive analytics, business intelligence or a related field is preferred.Experience RequirementsThis position typically requires 8+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in manufacturing or product quality environments. In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:Proven track record of influencing business decisions through data insightsExperience supporting quality systems, warranty analysis, or field performance analytics strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to work in ambiguous environments and lead cross-functional initiativesProven expertise with various quantitative techniques, data formats, and methodologiesData Visualization: Power BI, TableauData Processing: SQL, Alteryx, Python, RStatistical Methods: Reliability analysis (Weibull), regression, hypothesis testingData Platforms: Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple systemsDemonstrated ability to lead without authority and influence cross-functional teamsExperience presenting to senior leadership and driving actionable outcomesAbility to translate complex analytics into clear business narrativesGeneral knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, welding) a plusThe pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
