What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Identity Team. This is a horizontal platform role, meaning you won’t just be building features for one user type; you will be architecting the “front door” of Circle. You will design the systems—like Authentication, Roles & Permissions, and Billing—that every other product team at Circle will rely on. You should bring a strong background in Visual and UI design and be able to deliver polish and craft that sets the standard for the organization.

What You’ll Work On

• Transforming Chaos into Order: audit existing, fragmented workflows and unify them into a cohesive platform experience.
• Unified Identity: design how users experience Roles, Permissions, and Team Management, making complex logic intuitive for admins and end-users alike.
• Centralized Billing Infrastructure: design a scalable billing and subscription experience that unifies how customers pay for different parts of the Circle ecosystem.
• Security meets UX: tackle high-stakes flows like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), SSO setup, and account recovery, ensuring security without compromising usability.

What You’ll Bring To Circle

• Platform & Systems Experience: proven track record on platform teams, internal tools, or design systems; understands designing a framework vs a feature.
• Exceptional UI & Visual Design Skills: mastery of typography, color, layout, and hierarchy; attention to finish and pixel perfection.
• Complexity Wrangling: comfortable with technical complexity and turning messy requirements into clean, logical UI.
• Component-Based Thinking: expert in Figma; builds scalable components with auto-layout, variables, and variants for reuse.
• Strategic Communication: able to articulate the \'why\' behind design decisions; comfortable presenting to leadership and collaborating with engineering partners to maintain design quality.

Empathy for Internal & External Users: You understand that your users are both Circle customers and internal developers/designers who build with your tools.

Circle is on a mission to create an inclusive financial future, with transparency at our core. We consider a wide variety of elements when crafting our compensation ranges and total compensation packages. Starting pay is determined by factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs. Compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range: $157,500 - $207,500
