As a prominent member of the team, you will also play a key role in mentoring and fostering the professional development of emerging talent within the Land Development team.What You'll Do:Project and Team Leadership:Provide direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, supervision, and adherence to project timelines and budgetsFoster a collaborative and innovative team environmentIdentify and nurture high-potential talent within the team; mentor and develop the next generation of Engineering leadership at VerdantasProvide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project deliveryCommitment to people and professional development of our teamsTechnical Leadership:Serve as Lead Senior Engineer and primary point of contact managing strategy, technical and design work, regulatory engagement, and business developmentEngage as Senior in Charge on land or site plan development, design, and permitting, stormwater management design and permitting, erosion & sediment control design (as appropriate based on licensure), primarily for Verdantas' Area-level clients in our Real Estate, Government, Energy, and Industrial MarketsDirect meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractorsProvide technical leadership and guidance on best practicesIdentify opportunities for process and quality improvements and implement best practicesLead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project deliveryEncourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the teamClient Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related needs and committing to client satisfactionUnderstand client needs and provide tailored solutionsPresent project updates and technical information to clients in a clear and concise mannerStakeholder Engagement:Coordinate with various stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, communities, and environmental organizations, to facilitate project approvals and implementationCoordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project objectives are metQuality Assurance:Ensure the quality and technical content of all work products, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirementsPower Market Growth:Lead initiatives aimed at expanding our presence in the Power marketDevelop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive business growthPlan, execute, and oversee pursuits and projects aimed at market expansion in the power sectorWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution; higher education preferred20 or more years of experience in civil engineering and land developmentP.E. required (Delaware, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey preferred)Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2), preferredOffshore wind energy on-land transmission project experience, including experience with USEPA, Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and state agencies (including DNREC)Strong leadership and team management skillsSalary Range:The compensation range starts at $125,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.Benefits:Flexible Work EnvironmentPaid Parental LeaveMedicalDentalVisionLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
