Join our team as a Lead Power Market Senior Land Development Engineer in the Mid‑Atlantic power market.
In this leadership role, you will manage high‑impact projects, serve as a primary liaison for client engagement, and oversee the development of land use and infrastructure that supports energy transformation.
What You'll Do
- Provide direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, supervision, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Identify and mentor high‑potential talent within the team; develop the next generation of engineering leadership.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project delivery.
- Commit to people development and continuous learning.
- Serve as lead senior engineer and primary point of contact managing strategy, technical design work, regulatory engagement, and business development.
- Engage as senior in charge on land or site plan development, design, permitting, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control (as appropriate based on licensure).
- Coordinate meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices.
- Identify process and quality improvement opportunities; implement best practices.
- Lead initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; serve as primary point of contact for project needs.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Present project updates and technical information to clients clearly.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (federal/state agencies, communities, environmental organizations) to facilitate approvals.
- Ensure quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead initiatives to expand presence in the Power market; develop and implement growth strategies; oversee market expansion pursuits and projects.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (higher education preferred).
- 20+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development.
- P.E. required (Delaware, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey preferred).
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- Experience with offshore wind energy on‑land transmission projects and related regulatory agencies.
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
Salary Range
Starts at $125,000, based on position, experience, and licensure.
