- In this role, you will leadpiping materials engineering for small to mid-sized industrial gasprojects from early design through construction support, coordinatinginternal and outsourced resources to deliver specifications/pipe classes,material selection, and procurement support
- You will leadmaterial selection based on process conditions and corrosion environment;ensure code compliance (ASME/ASTM/API/DIN/ISO/NACE) and verifycompatibility, including oxygen service suitability
- Additionally, you will developand maintain detailed piping component and procurement specifications,including piping material specifications and data sheets for pipe,fittings, flanges, valves, gaskets, bolting, and specialty items, ensuringfull component/material compatibility with project design requirements
- Ensuring compliance with applicable codes/standards and local regulations (e.g.,ASME B31.3, ASME B16.5, API 610/650, NACE), including verification ofmaterial grades, classifications, and supplier certifications is part of your role
- You will evaluatecorrosion risks based on process fluids and environmental conditions;specify appropriate corrosion allowances and recommend coatings, linings,or alloy upgrades, and ensure required material testing/verification completed
- In addition, you will assessmaterial suitability for thermal and mechanical loading inhigh-temperature, cryogenic, and high-pressure service, specifyingmaterials that will withstand expected stresses without deformation,cracking, or fatigue
- Leadprocurement and vendor technical support: develop requisitions/bidpackages, perform technical bid evaluations, review/approve vendordrawings and submittals, manage deviations, and supportinspection/expediting as needed
- Supporting reliability and mechanical integrity programs by providing materialsengineering input (damage mechanisms, corrosion/material upgrades, QA/QCrequirements) and by supporting construction/commissioning activities(field queries, punch list resolution, turnover documentation) will be part of your role
- You will prepare and maintain piping material class (PMC)documents, piping specifications, catalogs, supplier documentation, and procurementdata on readiness for shipment. and more to ensure aligned deliverables
- You will be responsible for the reviewofoxygen system design (flow/pressure, velocity limits, ignition risks), approvalof oxygen-compatible materials and components, enforcement of oxygencleanliness and contamination control, and safeguarding/transferring criticaloxygen safety knowledge and design assumptions
- Further, you will estimatediscipline hours and coordinate workshare execution; develop/maintaindiscipline procedures and templates aligned with applicable codes andstandards
What makes you great
- Youhave a bachelor’s degree in engineering and breadth and depth knowledge inpiping materials engineering and working knowledge of other fields
- 8+years of experience in piping materials for industrial gas, LNG, naturalgas, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, or similar industries, includingunderstanding of applicable codes and regulations for facility design andengineering
- Experienceleading the piping materials scope for small to mid-sized projects orproject packages (e.g., managing deliverables, supporting reviews andconstruction). PE license or EIT certification (with progress toward PElicensure) preferred
- Positiveattitude with the ability to adapt work schedule to accommodate projectspecific needs
- Advancedcomputer skills with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiaritywith piping material specification databases and engineering designsoftware such as Linde Material Information System (LMI), Piping ExportData (PED), SmartPlant Materials, AutoPIPE, Caesar II, SAP, or similartools
- You also have a eetailedunderstanding of Plant Design Engineering disciplines (Civil, Structural, PipingMaterial, Pipe Stress Analysis, Piping Design, and 3D CAD Applications)
- Willingnessto travel domestically and internationally up to 25%, including potentialextended assignments at project sites (1-3 months), is required for this role

The salary range for this role is $88,875 - $154,050 USD annually.
