This position will be on the 2nd shift which is 3:00PM-11:30PM, Monday through Friday.
Pay rate is $22.00 per hour and up depending on experience.Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of production lines within assigned bays. This role involves assisting with changeovers, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation, verifying start-up procedures, monitoring finished products, troubleshooting/problem solving and training new employees. Safety is the top priority in all operations and proceduresKey Responsibilities:Training and SafetyTrain new employees in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.Ensure all safety protocols are followed, and that safety is prioritized in all operations.Changeovers and Clean DownsAssist with equipment changeovers to minimize downtime.Sign off on clean down checklists to ensure thorough sanitation and readiness for production.Resource ManagementEnsure all equipment is in good working order and coordinate with maintenance and supervisor to correct any issues.Make sure all proper tools are available and usable at each workstation.Start-Up VerificationBe present at the production lines during start-up.Verify that no contamination is present before the first box is packed.Quality ControlInspect finished boxes before they leave the bay to ensure they meet quality standards.Ensure all required samples are taken and documented.Packaging ComplianceVerify that the correct packaging materials are used according to policies and procedures (P&P).Operational OversightMonitor and support the production team to maintain consistent workflow.Address any operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.Documentation and ReportingMaintain accurate records of production activities, clean down procedures, and quality checks.Report any deviations or issues to the supervisor/manager.Ability to use D365, PTS and RF Scan GunInterdepartmental CommunicationEnsure all information is transferred at shift change to ensure a smooth transition.Coordinate with lab and supervisor on items that may need correctedAttendanceMust be present and punctual on all scheduled workdays.Coordinate all breaks and lunches for machine coverageCore Competencies:Deductive ReasoningMathematical ReasoningProblem SensitivityInductive ReasoningOral ExpressionVisualizationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Reading ComprehensionSpeakingComplex Problem SolvingJudgment and Decision MakingSystems AnalysisSystems EvaluationTime ManagementMathematicsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma/GED5 years' experience in extrusion machine operating and mixingEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
