Building Engineer – JLLJoin JLL as a Building Engineer and play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of complex building systems while leading a high-performing maintenance team. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in building engineering while developing leadership skills in a dynamic, client-focused environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining state-of-the-art building systems, managing preventive maintenance programs, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Maintain and update CMMS information for all building operating systems, ensuring accurate documentation and work order trackingOversee successful operation of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Life Safety systemsExecute and delegate preventive maintenance services for building equipment and systemsManage online service requests with professionalism, efficiency, and minimal client disruptionRespond to emergencies and support after-hours building operations as neededOversee installation of new and replacement equipmentMaintain detailed inventory of parts and equipment, ordering replacements proactivelyProvide operational recommendations including Operating Expense Projects and process improvements to Chief Engineer and/or Site ManagerLead, develop, and support a professional maintenance team, fostering teamwork and performance excellenceDeliver comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training to direct reportsParticipate in individual performance management and personal development planning for team membersInteract with customers maintaining a positive demeanor and focus on satisfactionAct as a JLL ambassador, embodying core values of Teamwork, Ethics, and ExcellenceMinimum five (5) years of technical experience in building engineering with strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipmentDemonstrated expertise in equipment repair, maintenance, and overall system design and applicationUniversal CFC recovery certification (EPA 608)Proven leadership and staff management experienceStrong commitment to compliance with Federal, State, County, and City Ordinances, Codes, and LawsExperience with JLL "Engineering Services Compliance Program" or similar compliance frameworksProficiency in CMMS platforms and information technology toolsExperience managing service request systems and work order platformsBackground in project management and process improvement initiativesStrong communication skills for interaction with external and internal stakeholdersWillingness to attend periodic training seminars on and off siteWashington State 06A electrical licenseRedmond, WASchedule includes flexibility for earlier start times to perform preventative maintenance tasks before daily operations begin.

Role includes participation in an on-call/emergency response rotation for reactive repairs.Salary: $87.100 - $114.400This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Estimated compensation for this position: 87,100.00 – 114,400.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
