Shift Start Time: 6:30 AM

Shift End Time: 5:00 PM

AWS Hours Requirement: 10/40 - 10 Hour Shift

Weekend Requirements: As Needed

On-Call Required: No

Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $83.970 - $108.360 - $121.360

What You Will Do

Provides/enhances patient care based on advanced nursing practice principles in area of specialty.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field or equivalent experience
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - required
  • California Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certificate - CA Board of Registered Nursing - required
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
  • DEA Controlled Substance Registration - U.S. Department of Justice - preferred

Essential Functions

  • Operational Outcomes
    • Achieve operational outcomes and collaborate with other disciplines/departments to resolve daily issues.
    • Facilitate staff in prioritizing and problem‑solving operational issues.
    • Collaborate with physicians to address operational issues.
    • Demonstrate resolution with targeted outcomes as negotiated.
    • Resolve identified issues to improve operational flow.
  • Collaboration
    • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem‑solving skills in area of specialty when consulted by interdisciplinary team.
    • Collaborate with health‑care team in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating comprehensive care.
    • Improve outcomes through interventions with others.
  • Patient Education
    • Assess learning needs of patients/families, plan, provide, and coordinate education.
    • Participate in evaluating education outcomes.
  • Human Resource Management
    • Complete all performance reviews within due dates.
    • Maintain current employee files.
    • Orient or mentor staff into new roles, ensuring competence.
    • Develop staff leadership skills and facilitate learning.
    • Assist staff with performance issues.
    • Develop expertise in human resource management.
  • Productivity Oversight
    • Maintain productivity score between 98–100%.
    • Monitor staff scheduling, overtime, skill mix and cost‑effective utilization.
    • Implement cost‑reducing or revenue‑enhancing ideas.
    • Ensure budgeted salary and supply expenses per unit of service.
    • Develop expertise in resource management.
  • Patient Care
    • Perform ongoing assessment per advanced nursing practice.
    • Maintain complete patient documentation.
    • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
    • Identify differential diagnoses.
    • Develop plan of care with interdisciplinary input.
    • Apply advanced nursing principles and provide medications as indicated.
    • Evaluate progress and adjust plan of care.
    • Document care/services per guidelines and comply with SHC policies.
    • Develop expertise in specialty certification or initiatives.
  • Professional Development
    • Seek self‑development needs and resources.
    • Member of related professional organization.
    • Participate in community health events.
  • Research and Development
    • Remain current on evidence‑based practice and present information.
    • Lead or conduct clinically based research.
    • Lead performance improvement activities.
    • Evaluate efficacy, utilization, and safety of products and technology.
  • Safety
    • Facilitate Workman’s Compensation reporting.
    • Handle unanticipated situations maintaining safety.
    • Explain importance of policies and procedures.
    • Resolve safety issues as negotiated.

  • Training and Education
    • Educate staff on new or advanced skills.
