Responsibilities
- The Nuclear Medicine Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all healthcare services within the Nuclear Medicine Department.
- This position assists with operational, financial, and personnel management activities to ensure efficient departmental performance and high-quality patient care.
- Under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director, the lead provides clinical leadership to Nuclear Medicine technologists, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- The role involves performing and supervising routine Nuclear Medicine procedures, maintaining quality imaging standards, and ensuring compliance with all radiation and physical safety protocols.
- The lead exercises professional judgment in all aspects of work while maintaining a demeanor consistent with medical ethics and organizational values.
- This position also maintains current knowledge of and compliance with ICANL accreditation standards to ensure ongoing accreditation and departmental excellence.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
- ARRT(N), or NMTCB, or ASCP(N).
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience.
