Sr. Platforms ArchitectThe Sr. Platforms Architect is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the IT infrastructure and developing enterprise standards, while delivering highly available, secure and cost-effective IT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment.How You Will Impact The FirmDevelop and maintain technology road maps for the enterprise network architectureContribute towards the advancement and improvement of the overall network architecturePartner with Technology Platforms teams to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and are of high qualityTake a lead role in the engagement and mitigation of outage causing eventsAbility to engage and effectively communicate with multiple tiers of management on highly technical topicsReview, consult and prepare for planned changes being introduced to the production environmentPartner with Operations team to plan and execute Network upgrades and device maintenancePlan deployment projects and operationalize the implementations of new technologiesContribute towards continual improvement of our global network architectureWork with stakeholders to identify objectives and report progressMentor and influence other IT resourcesAdvance a culture of data driven decision making, agility and continuous improvementBe an SME and mentor to the IT Operations team providing implementation plans for new solutionsWhat You Need To Succeed:Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience10 + years of experience managing technical architecture, projects and implementation in IT infrastructureDemonstrated knowledge of designing, building, and implementing technical solutions across network infrastructure environmentsSenior level Cisco networking experience in a large enterprise environmentSenior level experience designing, deploying, and maintaining highly resilient and scalable distributed LAN and WAN network architectureDeep, hands-on experience with TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF)Expert level knowledge of WAN optimization such as Cisco WAAS and RiverbedExpert level knowledge with Software-Defined Network such as Cisco ACI and VMWare NSXStrong understanding of SD-WAN design and implementationThe ability to collaborate with the PMO on Project, Program and Portfolio concepts and assist in design and delivery methods with progress trackingCisco CCIE certification preferredExperience in Process Control Networks preferredProfessional proficiency with the MS suite of products (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, Project)Being self-directed, fast-paced, collaborative, and results-orientedBasic Knowledge of networking and network infrastructure a plus.Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a global enterprise.Ability to work under tight deadlines at a fast pace.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate in a matrixed environmentStrong attention to detail
