Systems Software ProgrammerThe customer has a variety of software applications that need to be upgraded to supported versions of Microsoft Visual Studio, Framework, and migration of code from Vb.net to C# which require the specialized skills. The Systems Software Programmer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, modification, installation, deployment, testing, implementation and maintenance of operating systems software; evaluate software packages and make recommendations to IT management; modify and debug source code, utilities and packages; modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications; diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems; provide security verification; use OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) to help FFS develop and maintain secure applications; use OWASP Top Ten as a first step towards more secure coding; and performs problem resolution; monitors system capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures and provides Tier 2 technical support.The Systems Software Programmer will work on multiple products, activities, and projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader; work on moderately complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and has expertise in one product/system; act as a mentor and trainer to junior technical staff in the design, development, and maintenance of systems.PreferencePreference will be given to candidates who possess the following:At least Four (4) years of professional experience writing and maintaining SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures/packages/views using Oracle 11g or above.At least Four (4) years of professional experience writing and maintaining SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures/functions using SQL Server 2017 or above as the data store.At least Four (4) years of experience in webpage development using HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript.At least Four (4) years of experience writing, debugging, updating code in a.NET programming environment using Visual Basic or C#.At least Four (4) years of experience with project migrations and upgrades for Visual Studio and.NET Framework including converting source code from VB.Net to C#.SkillsTo accomplish the work outlined above, the customer requires an experienced Systems Software Programmer with the following skills and experiences listed below.
