Reference: PR/ _ We're partnering with a specialized manufacturer of industrial processing equipment that is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of the mechanical engineering function and help drive product improvement, standardization, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you'll wear multiple hats-working in CAD, collaborating with manufacturing, supporting installations, and solving real-world engineering challenges.What You'll Be DoingLead mechanical engineering activities across the organizationImprove and standardize existing product designs and documentationDevelop detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMsDrive Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) initiatives to improve quality and reduce costManage and improve engineering documentation, revision control, and PDM processesPartner closely with production, purchasing, service, and vendors to resolve technical challengesSupport new product development from concept through installation and commissioningTroubleshoot equipment issues in both manufacturing and field environmentsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline5+ years of mechanical design experience within industrial machinery, automation, custom equipment, food processing, or similar industriesStrong SolidWorks experience, including detailed manufacturing drawings and assembliesExperience with BOM management and PDM systemsKnowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, welding, and assemblyA hands-on engineer who enjoys being on the shop floor and working directly with technicians and customersStrong problem-solving abilities and a sense of urgency
