Lead Mechanical Design EngineerThe Lead Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of mobile drilling equipment and related products. This role provides technical leadership for mechanical and hydraulic systems while supporting engineering, production, and service teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of industrial equipment from concept through productionWork closely with electric and hydraulic controls engineers to ensure designs are cohesive with mechanical designsGenerate component drawings and BOMs for all equipment designs to be procured from outside vendorsAssist production and service departments with the implementation and service of new and existing designsSupport production, service, testing, and new product development activitiesManage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while meeting deadlinesMentor engineers and designers while promoting engineering best practicesDrive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability, and manufacturabilityQualificationBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred10+ years of mechanical design experience in mobile equipment, heavy equipment, construction, agriculture, or similar industriesExperience with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar 3D CAD softwareKnowledge of load-sense hydraulics and electro-hydraulic controls preferredStrong project management, communication, and problem-solving skillsKey SkillMechanical DesignHydraulic SystemsMobile Equipment3D CAD ModelingProduct DevelopmentEngineering LeadershipRoot Cause AnalysisContinuous Improvement
