Onsite Contract Installation

Project Leadership & Supervision 

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations on structured cabling and low voltage system installations. 
  • Lead and coordinate a team of technicians and apprentices on job sites. 
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards. 

System Installation & Troubleshooting 

  • Perform and supervise installation, termination, and testing of CAT5e/CAT6, fiber optic, coaxial, and other low voltage cabling. 
  • Install and troubleshoot devices and systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercoms, and AV equipment. 
  • Ensure system performance and reliability through testing and certification.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets company and industry standards (e.g., NEC, ANSI/TIA/EIA).
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure job site cleanliness and organization.

Client Communication 

  • Act as primary on-site point of contact with customers and contractors. 
  • Provide updates, answer technical questions, and resolve any field issues or concerns.

Documentation & Reporting 

  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including as-builts, testing results, and change orders. 
  • Submit daily progress reports and communicate material or labor needs to project managers. 

Team Training & Development 

  • Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices in installation practices and safety. 
  • Conduct quality checks and provide constructive feedback. 

Inventory & Equipment Management 

  • Manage job site materials, tools, and equipment inventory. 
  • Ensure proper use, handling, and storage of test equipment and specialty tools. 

Technical Knowledge & Continuous Improvement 

  • Stay current on low voltage trends, codes, and best practices.  
  • Recommend improvements to workflows, materials, and installation techniques.
