Lead Low Voltage Security Technician
National Network Services (NNS) is seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Security Technician to support our expanding customer base. In this role, you will be a hands-on field installation leader responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the installation, commissioning, and support of commercial security systems. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and requires extensive experience with access control, video surveillance, and integrated security systems.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Salary Range: $26–$36/hour, depending on experience

Lead and participate in the installation of commercial security systems
Install, terminate, and commission access control systems, including head-end equipment
Plan, install, and wire IP and analog video surveillance systems
Install and configure commercial intrusion detection systems
Perform system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and project requirements
Coordinate and manage field technicians to ensure successful project completion
Participate in multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the Project Manager
Maintain jobsite material inventory and equipment accountability
Support project closeout activities and customer turnover
Provide post-installation customer training and system orientation
Respond to customer questions and service-related concerns
Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and service
Assist in mentoring and training field technicians
Provide recommendations for process improvements and workforce development
Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience focused on physical security systems
Demonstrated experience installing and commissioning: Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance (CCTV) Systems, Commercial Intrusion Detection Systems
Ability to work efficiently in computer-controlled security environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Professional appearance, integrity, and work ethic
Experience and certifications with one or more of the following manufacturers are highly desired: Avigilon, AMAG, Lenel OnGuard, LenelS2, Bosch, DMP, Axis Communications
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to travel to project sites as required
Ability to lift, carry, and install security equipment and materials
Ability to work on construction sites and in various environmental conditions
Successful completion of pre-employment background screening and drug testing
