The Lead Labor Claim Technician is responsible for overseeing and guiding the various stages of product inspection involved with labor claims processing. They work with the product team to identify and diagnose potential product defects and deviations that would negatively impact quality. They will also perform analyses to understand trends and support company initiatives. They will serve as product and subject matter experts (SME) for quality and continuing improvement. The Lead will also oversee daily workflow, assist in the development of team members, and communicate with leaders to resolve issues.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support workflow to ensure timely processing and closure of all received labor claims
  • Assists in training and quality oversight to ensure team meets outcomes related to efficiency, safety, and accuracy
  • Works with product team to reach and sustain desired overall proficiency with product failure analysis
  • Inspects, measures, and records all details about labor claims
  • Inspects, measures, and records all relevant details to support the tracking of manufacturing issues
  • Receives, identifies, and sorts UPS, FedEx, and DHL deliveries (samples vs. labor claims)
  • Maintain internal quality tracking documents
  • Act a resource and assist the product management team as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong automotive knowledge – Specifically diagnostic and troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal, written, and electronic directions
  • Proficient in Office (especially in Excel / Word)
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Physical Demands & Requirements

Physical Effort : Occasional to frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs. Position involves a combination of stationary work and frequent movement throughout the facility and across multiple levels. Legal : Must be 18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pre-employment : Ability to pass a post-offer background check and drug screen.
