Salary: $76,000 - 116,000 per year Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of professional Java development experience
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and software engineering principles
  • Experience building multithreaded and concurrent applications, with an understanding of thread safety, synchronization, concurrent collections, executors, and performance considerations
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and using Git or an equivalent source control system
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Financial services, capital markets, or electronic trading experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with market data systems, market structure, and exchange connectivity is preferred
  • Experience with FIX Protocol, trading connectivity, messaging technologies, distributed systems, production application support, real-time systems, or high-performance and low-latency applications is preferred
  • Experience with Spring or Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, FIX engines, or performance tuning is an asset
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and support Java-based applications and services
  • Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support
  • Investigate and resolve production issues
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams
  • Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable software for systems with demanding reliability, concurrency, and performance needs
  • Participate in code reviews and help promote development best practices
  • Support production releases and deployments
  • Assess system performance and identify areas for improvement
