Lead Installer – Window Coverings

Location: Bozeman, MT

Compensation: $55,000 base + $26,000–$30,000 performance pay

Target Total: $81,000–$85,000

Overview

Lead the installation, service, and repair of custom window coverings for residential and commercial projects. This role owns job quality, efficiency, and team leadership in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Install and service blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery (manual + motorized)
• Program and troubleshoot automation systems (Lutron, Somfy, Hunter Douglas)
• Lead installation crews and manage job execution on‑site
• Train and develop installers to increase team capability
• Plan installs, review job notes, and ensure projects are completed correctly and efficiently
• Communicate with customers and internal team members
• Maintain tools, vehicle, and inventory for readiness
• Support light field marketing efforts (door hangers, etc.)

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in one or more of the following:
• Window coverings installation
• Finish carpentry or cabinetry
• Residential construction or remodeling
• Glass or garage door installation
• Low‑voltage, smart home, or electrical work
• Strong mechanical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience leading projects or crews
• Comfortable with mobile apps and basic tech tools
• Valid driver’s license

Schedule

• Full‑time, year‑round
• Typical: 5 days/week
• Average: ~40 hours/week annually
• Peak season: up to ~50 hours/week
• Slower periods: ~30 hours/week
