Lead Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Bit-Wizards is hiring a full‑time, in‑house Lead Infrastructure Engineer located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and macOS systems.
• Administer and manage Windows Server environments.
• Design and maintain Azure environments.
• Architect Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online solutions.
• Migrate on‑premises environments to cloud-first solutions in Azure.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points, and network‑attached storage.
• Administer email systems and migrations; manage Exchange Server and Office 365.
• Provide holistic support for IT operations.
• Install and deploy software and remotely manage devices.
• Collaborate with business departments to complete projects and resolve client IT issues.
• Travel as required to support client needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and technology environments.
• Effective consulting and customer‑service skills.
• Team‑player who owns projects and drives them to completion efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail‑oriented and well organized.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root cause of technology issues.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with infrastructure technologies.
• Due to security requirements, the position requires access to Controlled Unclassified Information and export‑controlled data; employment limited to U.S. persons as defined in 22 C.F.R. §120.15.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with managed services (MSP) environments.
• Experience with SharePoint Online.
• Experience with PowerShell and task automation.
• Knowledge of Fortinet network stack.
