Lead Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer for a contract position based in Irving, Texas. This is a 6+ month engagement focused on infrastructure and platform engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives with a focus on Kubernetes-based environments
• Design, deploy, and manage container orchestration solutions
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Tekton
• Establish and enforce GitOps principles and practices using tools such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or RHACM
• Develop and integrate automation solutions into platform workflows using RESTful APIs
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and networking best practices across hybrid cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and optimize Kubernetes cluster operations and deployment tooling

Qualifications

• Required
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles (or equivalent via education, training, or military experience)
  • 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster operations, deployment tooling, and troubleshooting
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Tekton
  • 3+ years working with GitOps principles and tools (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, RHACM)
  • Experience with container orchestration and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
  • Linux systems administration experience
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience designing or consuming RESTful APIs and integrating automation into platform workflows
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and compliance considerations
