Position Summary

As a Lead HVAC Installer, you'll direct crews through HVAC system installations from start to finish, putting your hands-on skills and leadership to work every day. This position offers real stability and a clear next step for someone ready to grow beyond a standard installer role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews in setting up and completing HVAC system installations
• Perform installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, wiring, piping, and equipment
• Train, mentor, and support apprentices and technicians to develop technical skills
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
• Conduct system start-ups, testing, and inspections to confirm proper functionality
• Maintain documentation of completed work, including job notes and photos, in ServiceTitan
• Communicate professionally with customers about installation scope, progress, and outcomes
• Delegate daily tasks to keep the crew productive and projects on schedule
• Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and used safely

Qualifications: Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical or trade school training preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, including at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role
• EPA Section 608 certification required; NATE certification strongly preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, and installation best practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar field/service management software preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands and Conditions

• Lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
• Work performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights

Work Environment/Travel

• Field-based role with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites
• May require evening, weekend, or overtime work depending on project schedules
