Leading a team of Business Analysts remotely, the full-time salaried Lead Functional Business Analyst will guide a major AI modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on business process analysis, requirements strategy, and stakeholder engagement to enhance healthcare systems for Veterans. Key responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Business Analysts in extracting and validating business rules from VistA/MUMPS Prosthetics functionality Define and continuously improve the BA methodology and playbook for consistency across Prosthetics Delivery scrum teams Facilitate design thinking workshops and usability testing with VA stakeholders to validate current-state findings and shape future enhancements Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Human-Centered Design, or related discipline (Master's preferred) 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on leading or mentoring analysts in enterprise IT or healthcare modernization Demonstrated understanding of VA VistA and the Prosthetics module, including workflows for ordering, procurement, fitting, claims, and inventory Practical experience applying human-centered design methods to validate and shape system requirements Strong track record of facilitating stakeholder discussions and translating complex system behavior into clear requirements
