As a Lead Epidemiologist you will:
- Serve as the recognized expert in epidemiology for the agency with responsibility for developing policy and objectives, appraising programs, and initiating requirements for epidemiological studies.
- Provide advice and assistance for the development of contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements for professional, laboratory, or other services pertinent to the program, project, or study.
- Provide epidemiological advice and/or assistance in the resolution of technical problems and issues that include significant barriers to program or project delivery.
- Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
- Serve as a project coordinator and recommend resources for epidemiologic projects.
- Design, plan, and initiate epidemiologic studies, surveys, and investigations.
