Lead Engineer, C2SET

Position Title: Lead Engineer, C2SET Location: REMOTE (U.S) Clearance: Secret SUMMARY The Air Force C2SET (Command and Control Simulation, Emulation, and Training) program delivers advanced constructive M&S capabilities to support realistic operational training, scenario analysis, and decision support for Air Operations Centers (AOC) and Joint/Coalition warfighters. Through agile, DevSecOps-driven sustainment and modernization, C2SET absorbs and replaces legacy AFMSTT systems, integrates with Air, Space, and Cyberspace enterprise environments, and advances the state of theater-wide constructive warfare models—including AI/ML-based analysis and rapid response to evolving missions. The effort involves enhancement, fielding, and sustainment of complex software suites across cloud, containerized, and secure environments worldwide, directly supporting the training and readiness of U.S. and coalition commanders "This includes, but is not limited to: The development, maintenance, and modernization of M&S software that runs scenarios capable of handling operationally realistic complex theater warfare models... The simulation and stimulation of AOC WS and other JFACC and coalition applications as required." The scope of this work will cover C2SET development, maintenance, sustainment, modifications, model development, operational changes, security software changes, certifications, test, fielding, installation, training, data support, help desk, operational support, and reach back activities. This position is contingent upon contract award. Anticipated start date is 1 November.

Summary of Duties:

• Serve as the senior technical leader for design, implementation, sustainment, and migration of advanced C2SET software, models, cloud architectures, and simulation capabilities.
• Direct and advise development teams, interface with government/contractor partners, and ensure integrated modeling and simulation delivery for AOC and Joint operational training commitments.
• Oversee full stack and agile software development across modern languages and frameworks relevant to C5ISR M&S.
• Ensure operational sustainment, improvement, and migration of legacy and forward-leaning C2SET capabilities, as directed by government leads "Provide senior knowledge and senior hands-on experience in architecting, developing, securing, implementing, testing, and leading software sustainment and development teams in C5ISR M&S.

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 10 years of relevant experience developing in C++, Python, AFSIM, web services, database, and/or web application development.
• Demonstrated skill with cloud-based services (AWS, Azure) and RESTful architectures.
• At least 2 years’ experience in military mission planning, operations, or wargaming.
• At least 2 years of experience with simulation training, especially in AOC environments.
• Proven senior knowledge and leadership in C5ISR M&S team management and full stack/agile development.
