About the location

The role of the Lead Engineer
- Maintain heating, ventilating, and air‑conditioning equipment in optimal operating condition, by performing routine maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, counseling, evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis.
- Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
- Replace filters, bearings and repair motors and shafts, as and when necessary.
- Operate, maintain and repair boilers to provide desired heating throughout the hotel.
- Ensure proper execution of work order/request system and that items are followed up on when necessary; this is to include scheduling, ordering, and initiating projects.
- Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders and liaise effectively with the Director of Purchasing.
- In absence of DOE and ADOE, act as department leadership in ensuring departmental operation.
- Implement and perform preventive maintenance schedules, policies and rules throughout Front and Back of House to ensure an efficient department.
- Maintain rooms in optimal operating condition, by performing repairs as required. Also undertake any duties required outside the hotel building, in the hotel grounds, as required, to ensure that all areas of the property are maintained to the required standard.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Trade school in mechanics, refrigeration, etc.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Trade license.
- Maintenance Technician Certification or BOMI SMT certification.
- Two to five years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
- Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
- Knowledge of operating computer equipment.
