Lead Electronic Engineer

A large power supply engineering customer is looking for a Lead Electronic Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will work in the design and development of power supplies, and be involved in innovations of advanced power solutions for semiconductor, industrial and medical applications. This role will also be responsible for a diverse range of engineering tasks including designing, testing, and analyzing systems and components as part of a focused team. Lastly, this position will be responsible for summarizing results and delivering proposals to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient and cost-effective circuits and power supplies per customer and regulatory specifications (i.e., analog and digital circuits, embedded controls logic, magnetics, EMI filters, power circuits, etc.) including, schematic capture, board layout, prototype testing, and bench testing code development
  • Interface with internal departments to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met
  • Develop analytical models, simulation tools and other predictive methods to reduce changes on subsequent iterations of each design
  • Participate as an active part of the core team to meet schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Assist in the development, testing, and de-bugging of prototype power supply units.
  • Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications

This will be an onsite position sitting out of the Eden Prairie, MN location. Salary ranges from $115-180k depending on experience. Full benefits, vacation time, paid sick time, company matched 401k, and other benefits provided.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably BSEE)
  • 8+ years of electronics design for product development related to any kind of power or power supply products
  • Experience with Mathcad, and Cadence or Altium
  • SPICE based circuit simulation experience (LTspice, PSpice)
  • Scripting experience with MATLAB, or Python/LabVIEW/TCL, etc.
  • Comfortable working onsite
