We create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to transport goods across North America.As a Lead Dockworker, you'll guide a team of dock workers in daily operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, efficiently and accurately. You'll be a key player in keeping our warehouse running smoothly all while helping your team grow and succeed.What your day-to-day will look like:Lead and support the dock team in loading and unloading freight using manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forkliftsAssign tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity, accuracy and safety standards are metTrain team members on proper equipment use, safety procedures and best practicesHelp organize freight on the dock according to destination and priority, ensuring accurate handling and documentationCommunicate clearly with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse staff to coordinate freight movementMonitor inventory levels and assist with merchandise reconciliationKeep the dock clean, safe, and well-stocked with tools and suppliesIdentify and resolve operational challenges, addressing performance issues as neededAt a minimum, you'll need:4 years of warehouse experienceIt'd be great if you also have:High school diploma or equivalentMicrosoft Office experience and proficiencyAvailability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekendsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSolid leadership skills; able to coach and mentor team members; Experience in a supervisory roleSolid math skills and analytical abilityThis job requires the ability to:Lift up to 50 lbs.Does this sound like you?
