Leading the evolution of a petabyte-scale data platform on AWS, the full-time Lead Data Platform Engineer will design and build scalable data pipelines and services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable innovative data-driven marketing solutions in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Design, implement, and evolve a petabyte-scale AWS data platform using advanced engineering and distributed systems principles Build and optimize highly scalable data pipelines with JVM languages and cloud-native services to support analytics and downstream products Act as a principal technical leader, mentoring engineers and driving high-quality code reviews to elevate engineering maturity across the organization Required qualifications Expert level software and data engineering experience in large-scale data platforms Deep experience building petabyte-scale systems using Java-based languages such as Scala and Apache Spark Strong expertise across the AWS data ecosystem (Glue, S3, Athena, Managed Airflow, Iceberg) Advanced understanding of distributed systems and highly parallelized workloads Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
