ABOUT US

FM Controls is a locally owned building automation company and an authorized Reliable Controls dealer. We install, program and service HVAC controls for hospitals and clinics, schools, churches, county buildings and industrial sites across North Central Iowa. We've served nearly 400 customers, and dozens of them have stayed with us for 10 years or more. We're proud of that, and we want to keep earning it.

We need a sharp, experienced controls technician who can hit the ground running. You'll take on our toughest service calls, get systems running the way they should, and set the standard for the rest of the field team. If you're the person others call when they're stuck, we want to talk to you.

- Lead in the field: set clear expectations for our techs, check the work and hold it to a high standard

- Be the go-to person for customers on difficult problems, and explain clearly what you found and what you fixed

- Keep service tickets and job paperwork complete and turned in on time

- Networking for building systems (IP addressing, BACnet/IP, remote access)

- Creating control drawings, submittals and system documentation

- Experience leading crews or mentoring techs
