Lead Consultant – InfrastructureWe are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant – Infrastructure with strong expertise in Unix Server Administration and IBM Sterling Data Transmission technologies. The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, administration, and support of IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and B2B Integrator environments, ensuring secure and reliable data transmission across enterprise systems.

The role requires providing L3 production support, managing infrastructure changes, maintaining system stability, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience managing Unix-based systems including HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, and Red Hat Linux.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, upgrade, configure, and maintain IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) infrastructure.Administer and support B2B Integrator environments and associated components.Manage configuration and deployment of Sterling Secure Proxy, SEAS, and Control Center.Production Support & OperationsProvide Level 3 (L3) production support for data transmission platforms in a 24/7 environment.Troubleshoot system issues related to software, hardware, and infrastructure components.Monitor systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.Infrastructure Monitoring & OptimizationContinuously monitor the infrastructure to identify potential failures or performance issues.Recommend and implement improvements to eliminate single points of failure.Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the Sterling environment.Change Management & System EnhancementsSupport infrastructure and environmental changes by gathering requirements and implementing system updates.Participate in system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of change requests.Security & ComplianceMaintain and monitor security configurations within the Sterling ecosystem.Manage security certificates, authentication mechanisms, and encryption protocols.Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data protection policies.Collaboration & LeadershipParticipate in and occasionally lead project status meetings and technical discussions.Work independently while managing multiple tasks and project assignments.Provide technical guidance and best practice recommendations to support teams.Essential DutiesInstall and configure IBM Sterling File Gateway infrastructure.Support environmental changes and system improvements.Provide 24/7 third-level production support.Monitor system health and recommend infrastructure improvements.Maintain security standards across the Sterling integration environment.Required Qualifications3–5+ years of experience working with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and B2B Integrator.Hands-on experience with Sterling Secure Proxy, SEAS, and Control Center.Strong knowledge of Unix server administration: HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux.Understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and security concepts.Experience with IBM Mainframe, Windows, and Linux environments.Working knowledge of security certificates and encryption technologies.Experience handling production support engagements and incident management.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Preferred SkillsExperience with enterprise data transmission platforms.Familiarity with integration architectures and secure file transfer solutions.Knowledge of ITIL processes and infrastructure monitoring tools.Experience in automation or scripting in Unix environments.Top ResponsibilitiesManage and support IBM Sterling File Gateway / B2B Integrator infrastructure.Provide L3 production support and ensure system reliability and performance.Administer Unix servers and maintain secure enterprise data transmission environments.
