Lead Collections OperatorPembroke Pines, Florida, United StatesQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDClass B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsementFlorida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Class 3 Distribution Operator LicenseFWPCOA Class C Collections LicenseExperience in maintenance of collections and distributions systemsConstruction experience, including managingMust possess and maintain a valid driver's licensePlumbing experienceSewer plumbing experienceResponsibilities:Prepare pre-task plan and conduct an all-hazards analysis to ensure the safety of the team in the execution of daily tasksPlans, directs, trains and supervises new and existing personnel at work sites; provides instruction with more difficult trades; carries out assigned tasks through utilization of materials and assigned personnel.Responds to, generates, and closes out work orders; conducts onsite inspections; ensures compliance with safety standards, permitting, and recordkeeping requirements.Ability to participate in weekly rotating "after hours" callout duty that requires prompt response on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays.Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots water and wastewater equipment such as backflow devices, fire hydrants, manholes, meter systems, valves, and other associated water and wastewater equipment.Performs basic water and sewer line installations and repairs and checks for low water pressure.Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance and routine cleaning as required.Assist in repairs of water/wastewater treatment system equipment, machinery, and transmission/distribution/collection lines.May operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, including backhoes, cranes, forklifts, jet vac trucks, dump trucks, and other associated water and wastewater equipment.Operate equipment used in trench work, including compactorsBackfill excavations according to Pembroke Pines engineering specificationsRestore excavations to original condition, including landscaping, concrete and asphalt replacementPerform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on all equipmentResponds to customer inquiries and complaints.Turns water meters on and off, installs or assists with installation of meters and meter boxesCleaning and clearing sewer linesLift Station wet well cleaningRepairing breaks, leaks and installing new lines,Adjusting manhole covers and frame replacementRepair defective sewer lines and make point repairsComplete work orders and field complaint formsPerform other duties as required.Comments/Special Instructions:We are looking for an individual to lead a team of Distribution and Collection Operators to perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the collection and distribution system.
