CNC Machinist (Mills & Lathes)Our long term client is a growing manufacturing company specializing in precision machining and fabrication. They are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Mills & Lathes) to join their team. If you are a skilled professional with a strong background in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and setup operations, we want to hear from you!As a CNC Machinist (Mills & Lathes), you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality machined components for a variety of industries such as the aerospace, automotive and medical device industries that require tight tolerance machining.

You will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC machines (Mills & Lathes), interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the final products. Your expertise will contribute to the success of their operations.Key Responsibilities:Set up, operate, and edit Fanuc controlled CNC Mills & Lathes (machining OR turning) in accordance with production specifications.2 to 4 axis machines. (5 axis mills experience definite plus!)Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.Upload programs and make necessary adjustments (G&M code edits) to machine parameters.Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) using tools such as: Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometers, Bore micrometers, Depth micrometers, Optical Comparators, to measure and inspect parts to meet precise specifications.Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.Minimum 3 years proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.Strong blueprint reading skills.Ability to read and understand G & M codes - Fanuc control.Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.Proficiency in using metrology tools (operating a CMM experience is a plus!)Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.Hours/Shifts:1st ShiftMon-Fri.
