Client’s Enterprise Cybersecurity team is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to support Customer Protection Technology (CPT) and Client Risk. This role focuses on fraud protection and prevention by building a robust tech and data platform, transitioning from on-prem to cloud infrastructure, and enabling secure, scalable, and resilient systems. The engineer will collaborate with surveillance teams, manage high-value transaction risk evaluations, and work with SaaS vendors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, deep cloud expertise, and strong DevOps and SRE practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition from on-prem to cloud infrastructure for CPT and Client Risk.
  • Build and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with surveillance teams to set up and manage data platforms.
  • Evaluate high-value transactions and provide risk assessments.
  • Work with SaaS vendors to integrate fraud protection technologies.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
  • Develop infrastructure using Terraform and manage cloud resources.
  • Enable cloud competence with tools like Aerospike, PCP pairings, and secure connections.
  • Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and Kafka for data streaming.
  • Write automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Shell.
  • Troubleshoot Linux systems and ensure secure connectivity with stakeholder applications.
  • Monitor resources and implement observability practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technology roles with a focus on cloud engineering.
  • Leadership experience in cloud infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, andShell scripting (Java is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Solid Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud development and secure integration practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud observability tools and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with distributed systems and resilient cloud platforms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
