Lead Cloud Engineer

• Infrastructure Provisioning: Build, maintain, and scale repeatable, drift-free cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation.
• Operational Automation: Eliminate manual tasks by writing robust automation scripts in Python, PowerShell, and Bash/Shell.
• Systems Configuration: Orchestrate multi-account server management, runbooks, and remote configuration via AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
• Access Control: Author and maintain complex AWS IAM policies, trust relationships, and permissions boundaries adhering to the principle of least privilege.
• Enterprise Governance: Implement and enforce global security guardrails across a multi-account organization using Service Control Policies (SCPs) and AWS IAM Identity Center.
• Vulnerability & Patch Management: Design and maintain automated patch baselines and maintenance windows using SSM Patch Manager to secure OS environments.
• Server Administration: Provide Tier-3 troubleshooting, performance tuning, and lifecycle management for both Windows Server and Linux (Amazon Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu) systems.
• Network Engineering: Configure and manage secure cloud routing primitives, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Subnets, Route Tables, and Security Groups.
• Observability & Monitoring: Deploy agents, configure alerting profiles, and build performance dashboards using Dynatrace to proactively isolate system bottlenecks.
• Data Protection: Standardize and monitor cross-region, cross-account backup and data retention policies globally via AWS Backup.
• Disaster Recovery (DR): Implement, test, and support robust DR strategies (Pilot Light, Warm Standby) to meet strict RTO and RPO objectives.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze infrastructure utilization using AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets to implement rightsizing and cost-saving initiatives.
• AI Tool Integration: Leverage modern AI engineering tools (such as Amazon Q or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate scripting, code review, log analysis, and incident resolution.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 7+ years of dedicated systems engineering experience, with at least 4+ years specializing in hands-on AWS Cloud Engineering in a senior or lead capacity.
• OS Expertise: Proficient in both Linux and Windows Server administration and deep architectural troubleshooting.
• Scripting: Strong programming proficiency in Python, complemented by solid scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
• AWS Deep Dive: Proven track record managing AWS IAM, SCPs, CloudFormation, SSM, and AWS Backup at enterprise scale.
• Monitoring: Hands-on experience with enterprise observability platforms, preferably Dynatrace.
