Licensed by the State of Tennessee for Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Adult Day Care, and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) treatment, the Center offers structured and comprehensive levels of care. It is proud to operate Memphis’ first Joint Commission–certified Intensive Outpatient program for eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, which has played a significant role in improving the lives of many clients. Role Description

The Lead Clinician is a full-time, on-site position located in Jackson, TN, responsible for overseeing clinical services and providing direct patient care within intensive outpatient and related programs. This role includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and facilitating group and individual therapy sessions focused on eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, and related mental health concerns. The Lead Clinician collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, monitor treatment progress, and ensure that services align with regulatory standards and best practices. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve clinical supervision or mentorship of other providers, documentation and charting in accordance with state and accreditation requirements, and active participation in case conferences and quality improvement initiatives. The Lead Clinician helps maintain a therapeutic environment that emphasizes safety, dignity, and long-term recovery for all clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, preferably within intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization settings.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy, with a strong clinical focus on eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, and grief-related issues.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) and ability to apply them effectively in diverse client populations.
• Proven ability to offer clinical leadership, including mentoring or supervising other clinicians and contributing to a cohesive, interdisciplinary team.
• Strong skills in clinical documentation, case management, and adherence to state licensing, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and collaborate with families and community partners.
• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field; appropriate state licensure or license eligibility in Tennessee (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
