You will also share your knowledge and guide your colleagues, helping create a safe, efficient environment where your team can thrive and where patients' lives are improved every day.Your responsibilities will include:Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient careOperating and maintaining sterilization equipment, while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standardsPreparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedureManaging inventory, organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to help keep surgeries run smoothly and on timeLeading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example to support a safe, high-quality environment where teamwork thrivesWhat qualifications you will need:High School graduate or equivalent requiredTraining as Surgical Technologist preferredCertification/Experience in Sterile Processing preferredPrevious Surgical Technician experience preferredCertified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT)HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
