Unique Ultra-High-End Lead Carpenter
We are working to fill a crew of in-house, full time employees on a 8+ year project in northern Virginia for a premier custom estate builder undertaking a one-of-a-kind, large-scale private development: transforming 1000+ acres of undeveloped land into an exclusive corporate compound. The project involves extensive restoration of existing structures, new construction of architecturally designed high end facilities to include living quarters, office space, large commercial grade kitchen/cafeteria areas, and various other recreational areas.
We are looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter to guide a small-to-medium crew while still performing high-quality hands-on work. You will oversee daily framing and trim operations across new construction and building restoration on our expansive 1600-acre compound, ensuring efficiency, safety, and premium results.

Lead Carpenter Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a crew of carpenters and apprentices on framing, structural work, trim installation, and restoration tasks.
- Plan daily/weekly work assignments, coordinate material needs, and maintain project schedule.
- Perform advanced layout, complex framing, and detailed finish work as needed.
- Inspect crew work for quality, code compliance, and alignment with architectural intent.
- Communicate progress, issues, and needs with the Project Superintendent or management.
- Enforce safety standards and promote a professional, team-oriented site culture.
- 6-10+ years of progressive carpentry experience, including both framing and finish/trim work.
- Prior lead or crew coordination experience on custom or high-end residential projects.
- Strong blueprint reading, problem-solving, and layout skills.
- Restoration experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license; ability to work independently and lead effectively.
